Michael g on 17 Oct 2022 asked "Hi I would like to use these on a S2 with drum brakes - will i get any benefit or do I need to replace the fork springs as well?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: It depends on how good the internals are. Probably best to strip the forks and overhaul them

Mark T on 18 Sep 2019 asked "Stupid question I'm sure. Have just taken these out of the box and compressed them by hand, but they have not rebounded to their original position. Do I just pull them back into their original position (I'm paranoid about wrecking a seal or something) or should they in fact be partially compressed prior to fitting? I've bought fork brackets too so working out where they go, which is easy is the shocks are fully extended."

MB Scooters Ltd replied: They should press in easy with no resistance. They should have resistance when you pull them apart. They do not spring back on their own. Set the brackets so the shocker is not pulled all the way out, give it 10mm of compression to allow bouncing over bumps

JOHN W on 16 Jul 2018 asked "Are these serviceable? ie can the oil be topped up & the seals replaced?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Sorry I dont think they are

Richard H on 11 Mar 2017 asked "In the description it says that these 'work ' in both directions. Does this mean that they have damping in both directions? If so, is the damping rate similar in both directions? I have tried 2 other types so far, one is so stiff that it's like a bullworker (remember them?), the other only has effective rebound damping. I need both directions but at a sensible rate for 'spirited ' road riding. "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: On compression there is a very slight feel. On rebound it kicks in. Its set to the same as the adjustable dampers on the softest setting

Chris on 11 Jun 2016 asked "Hi, can these be successfully used with standard fork springs as well as progressive? Many thanks"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes no problem

Ken on 02 Jun 2015 asked "Are these dampers good for a series 2 fitted with a TS1 engine and disc front brakes"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes perfect

Robin B on 23 Aug 2014 asked "Do you have to use gaiters with these or can you use them without?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: You don't have to use gaitors if you dont want but are design so gaitors can be used. We have various colours due very soon
