Thread repair insert specially designed and made for MB Scooters.

• 8 x 1.25mm outside diameter
• 6 x 1mm inside diameter
• 17mm long
• Zinc plated

Can be used as a universal repair insert or especially works on

• Lambretta crankcase side 6mm holes
• Lambretta crankcase mag housing holes

Requires 8mm tapping tool MBU0918

Basic repair is like this.

• Drill out to 6.9 - 7mm
• Tap threads to 8 x 1.25mm
• Use a 6mm screw with plain nut, screw the insert onto the screw, lock the nut gently
• Cover the threaded screw with a strong loctite and screw the insert in with the screw untill it locks, unwind the nut and remove the screw
• You can counter bore the casting so the top hat seats flush
